Graduation












Here is one of the layouts that I did last week. I found this picture in a frame that had been packed away. We don't have a lot of display shelving yet in the house so only a few pictures are out. The gold tones in the leaves and James' hood (cape?) just popped against the yellow goldrush matting. I toned the background vineberry colour down by sanding it, giving it a more textured look and so that the colour didn't compete with the photo.

Hey J&M, what year was this taken? I think 98 or 99? Please let me know.

This post is good timing as Melanie is gradutating today, having completed her Masters in Education at Western. More exciting news is that she won the Gold Medal for having the highest average in her discipline. Congrats Mel, job well done! (you and Gilbert Blythe, winner of the Gold Medal. Sorry I just fished reading Anne of Green Gables.)
