Maple Syrup Festival

(photo by Jasmine at Confessions of a Cardamom Addict. A food blog that I will need to invest some time browsing through. )

This Saturday, April 6th, is the 44th annual Elmira Maple Syrup Festival. Here is their day long list of events and attractions:
Sugarbush Tour, Pancake Tents, Old-Fashioned Toffee, Old MacDonald's Farm, Pancake Flipping Contest, Pony Rides, "Curse of the Crown" Play, Meet and Greet the Mega Mutts, Collectible Antique Show, Quilt & Craft Show and the Toy Show & Sale.
The Weather Man says it's going to be a beautiful day so get there early. The first pancake comes off the grill at 7AM.
The Waterloo Central Railway is offering three return trips. Last summer we didn't get the chance to take the WCR to St. Jacobs, but this year we are planning on making the trip. technically it will take longer than if we drove (we are only 8km from St. J) but it's the experience right?
